 Orange to open call centre in Plymouth

Orange is to invest ?8m in a 1,100 person call centre in Plymouth.
To be completed by August next year, the call centre has been commissioned to cope with the rising demand that Orange is predicting into 2000.
The investment was encouraged by a ?900,000 Regional Selective Assistance grant from the government and will be situated in the Language Business Park, Plympton.
Orange stated that the new call centre will help it keep up standards of customer service and drive growth in the mobile phone market.
Since the start of the year, Orange has created a total of 3,100 jobs in a number of separate announcements.
